Decorative Stitch Folded Sewn Leather Sword Belt – Circa 1861-1865
  1. Officers 1861-1865 Civil War Folded Leather Sword Belt with decorative stitch. This Sword Belt is similar to one shown in Schuyler, Hartley & Graham’s, Illustrated Catalog of Civil War Goods. SHG was the Sears Roebuck of Military Officers Traps during the 19th Century. This belt is pictured in the original SHG catalog on page #45. Well documented in many museums, used by officers both North & South, General John Hunt Morgan, 2nd Kentucky Cavalry CSA used this belt. Many other contractors made a similar belt one of which is on exhibit at Shiloh NPS, Gettysburg NPS and many others.
