Federal Issue Cartridge Box (.58 cal.)
Circa. 1861

High Quality

Copied from an original and entirely hand made by Duvall Custom Leatherwork & Repair. Constructed of American oak tanned leather, blackened and oiled with cod liver oil, 2 japanned iron buckles, rounded finial, inner rain flap stamped with the maker’s mark “Sproulls Meeker & Co. New York”. Cartridge box tins and large flat brass US plate included. Does not include Shoulder Strap.

Guarantee:
Duvall Custom Leatherworks & Repair guarantees all stitching, riveting, and finials for one year from the date of purchase. They do not guarantee the leather, meaning if you physically rip the leather they will charge you to repair it. This is necessary for several reasons.

1) Duvall Custom Leatherwork & Repair did not design/engineer any of the accoutrements used in the Civil War.
2) We buy the best leather money can buy, and only use select cuts for reproductions. If your accoutrements are damaged beyond that, we can not help you.
3) Color bleed does happen. If your cartridge box makes your trousers black in the areas it is worn at, we can not help you. Think of it as the making of a super authentic uniform.
